'Most Wanted' NJ Fugitive Captured After 14 Years To Remain Held Pending Trial

A 40-year-old fugitive captured 14 years after shooting a man in the face in Ocean County will remain held pending trial, authorities announced.

Marciano Sanchez, who had been named to the "New Jersey's Most Wanted" list, was captured earlier this month in New York City, as previously reported by Daily Voice.

On Thursday, Oct. 17, Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels ordered Sanchez jailed pending trial.

Sanchez is suspected of shooting a man in the face at the Community First Aid building on Mantoloking Road on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.

Sanchez was charged on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, with attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
